Barbara Rugo Focht, M.D.

She is a pediatrician with over thirty years of experience. Dr. Rugo Focht's practice is  built on a model of holistic care. A child's physical, developmental, emotional, and spiritual needs are considered, while providing education, support, and parental advice. In contrast to the corporate approach to medicine, children and their families will be cared for in a personal, loving manner.

Dr. Rugo Focht received her M.D. from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She did her pediatric residency training at Travis AFB in California. Following residency, she worked as a pediatrician for the U.S. Air Force in Turkey. Since 1997, Dr. Rugo Focht has been a practicing pediatrician in the Blackstone Valley.

In addition to her extensive medical training, Dr. Rugo Focht holds a degree in education and taught for five years prior to becoming a pediatrician. She is the mother of four children, spanning 20 years. She is also actively involved in doing volunteer medical work in the Dominican Republic.

After 20 years of practicing medicine, Dr. Rugo Focht has fulfilled her lifelong dream of opening her own practice. The renovated office building at 28 Grafton Common has functioned as a physician's office for the past 200 years. Its ideal setting on the Grafton Common adds to its charm.
